Just thinking about.....
How great it is to be able to see color. I was out in the fall garden, cleaning up some garden beds and looked around at the last remnants of a more colorful summer - fushia, blue, mauve, yellow-orange - being surrounded by the more mellow tones of fall golds and the soft brown of the soil.
I'm new to blogging - trying to learn - we'll see how it goes.

I have been discovering this year how I love the colors of fall. Martell and I go on drives which usually lead us off the road somewhere. There are a lot of dirt roads around here. They usually go through fields and I always used to hate this time when they are burning the stubble, and tilling it over. Not anymore. I love the dark browns in contrast with the light golden stubble. I love the texture that the ruts create, like a giant corduroy patch on the land. Then out of nowhere a little grove of aspens that are simply on fire with fall. What a beautiful world we live in.
