Our local library has recently installed "Library Cats" - a few of the seven cats are pictured here. The cats can only be seen one at a time. As you go through the library you will find them in various areas of the library.
These cats were the culmination of a long process funded by a gift to the Library. The artists are Sarah Ohman-Ybarra Lopez and Mark Stevenson. This playful cat is located appropriately in the teen area. Teens come to the library for fun as well as for books. This week there is a movie day and a game day. I don't think I would be much good at air guitar or DDR but it sounds like fun.

I never thought I'd be able to share this bit of knowledge I picked up in library school, but here it is: a map of all the library cats in the United States
